Hi folks,

We're on a mobile odyssey ourselves, fulltiming across
America. I'm in the process of building an 802.11b mobile
network that will travel with our motorhome and offer
interesting content off a local 12V server. We won't
be printing off books for people, but we'd be happy to
host Internet Archive content, including all of the PD
book content that will fit on our server (10 - 20G).

It would be nice to see a DIY public-domain kit emerge,
complete with rdist or email-based subscription service to
newly emerging content. I'm sure that many coffeehouses
that don't have Internet connectivity could put up a simple
WAP point on an older box running *nix and serve up classic
literature to anyone who wants to bring in their wireless laptop
and do some reading!

We're up in the Philly area-- will you be passing through on your
way to DC, or heading diagonally southward on the way to DC? Would
like to get together!

cheers,
Strata
